On May 28th, 2021, the Congressional Cannabis Caucus and House Judiciary Chairman Jerry Nadler have introduced the MORE Act (Marijuana Opportunity, Reinvestment, and Expungement Act) of 2021. If passed, the MORE Act 2021 would enact a historic shift in federal policy towards cannabis.

MORE Act 2021

The MORE Act of 2019 was blocked by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell under the Trump administration.

  • Allows prior offenders to request expungement

  • Requires courts, on motion, to conduct re-sentencing hearings for those still under supervision
