Ohio Board of Pharmacy Plans to Double the Number of Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in 2021
In April 2021, the Board of Pharmacy announced plans to help improve patient access and double the number of dispensary. Ohio currently has 57 dispensaries licensed to sell medical marijuana. The new recommendations from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy call for an additional 73 new dispensary licenses.
Who is Eligible for Medical Marijuana in Ohio?
To be prescribed medical marijuana in the state of Ohio, a patient must be at least 18 years of age. Patients under 18 may be eligible if they have a caregiver who is over the age of 21. The patient must also suffer from one of the qualifying conditions and be an Ohio resident with proof of residency.
